Hi,
I have an appt. on the 22nd to sign bankruptcy papers. I am terrified!! Due to my 20 year marriage ending and my husband claiming bankruptcy it has forced me into this situation. My job was always the second income in the family and now I feel like I have to wait to get a better paying job so that I don't have extended surplus and do 21 months of bankruptcy. I'm frustrated with the system. I have a supported family and they want to help me out with some extra cash during the 9 months. It is my understanding that "gifts of cash" won't count towards my income, is this true. Trustee I've been talking with didn't tell me about jewelry appraisal was so that I would have to "buy back" my jewelry every month, so I'm just looking for some other sources of reference on this topic. As, they are being vague about this topic.
Thank you

Really would appreciate anyone's view on this topic....thanks
