I thought i was discharged in march 09 but trans union is stating other wise ... I have filed a complaint but they say my discharge was Oct 03 equifax doesn't list a bankruptcy any more
the trustee is now looking for my file
superior court of justice
in bankruptcy and insolvency
states I filed on 16th of March 2001
and whereas the bankrupt has satisfied the terms of the order of the court dated the 13th day of March 2002
IT IS ORDERED that I will be and is hereby discharged
the deputy registrar signed and dated it 28th Oct 2003
my trustee said at the time it would just be back dated...... do to filing problems in there office or something
well a year and a bit later i had to file complaint with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada to have it taken to court
i thought i was discharged on 13 of march 2002 am I or am I discharged the date it was signed
28 Oct 03
am I right in my thinking or wrong do i go to my trustee to look after it or do just go to the Superintentent Office

i've had it looked at trans union but they are hard to talk to
I got a letter stating the line i was looking at was a requirement line and not the discharge date
and whereas the bankrupt has satisfied the terms of the order of the court dated the 13th day of March 2002
there is a line for a space and than this line
IT IS ORDERED that I will be and is hereby discharged
are the two lines to be read together or the line (IT IS ORDERED that I will be and is hereby discharged) does that refer to the date the paper is signed

there were problems but it was all resolved by march 2002 and i did call and the discharge is oct 03
i will be filing a complaint (as if it matters apparently there are many others that have complained)
does anyone know about suing the trustee if the discharge is a year and a half behind because of his problems is there a legal case there
if i could of gotten say a interest rate on a car loan 2 points less could i take him to court for the added cost i must pay

I am a Carleton Journalism student currently writing a profile on the office of the superintendent of bankruptcy.
I'd like to interview someone in Ottawa about their personal experiences with the OSB.
If anyone is interesting please feel free to email me at j-school at hotmail dot com
This article is not to be published and is strictly for a school assignment.
Your help is greatly appreciated
Thanks!
