I went bankrupt in October '06 and was discharged in August '07.  I pull my credit report every year and every year find the same thing and have been unable to get it corrected.

The accounts that were included in the bankruptcy all state that they are included in the bankruptcy, but show as follows:
Company A:
Last reported to us in 2011/01/27. <-- This should be the date of our discharge and not since, right?
The highest credit amount on the account to date is $0.

Company B:
Last reported to us in 2007/09/01.
The highest credit amount on the account to date is $30,000. <-- This should state $0 now, should it not?

Company C:
Last reported to us in 2007/09/01.
The highest credit amount on the account to date is $1020. <-- This should also state $0 now, should it not?

My calls to Equifax have given the following answers:
Re: Company A: they are allowed to continue reporting every month, they are just verifying that nothing has changed.  "Please don't worry, this will be removed when the bankruptcy is removed."  In the meantime, does their continued reporting affect my credit score??  From what I understand, it does, and there should be no reporting after August '07.

Re: Company B & C: (one a loan, one a credit card, same bank): "The amount shown is correct".  My understanding is that both of these should show $0 now.

The bankruptcy was joint with my husband and his report shows the same errors.

My Transunion report is another story.
Company A shows the same last reported date as Company B & C.  Company B & C also show the same amount owing as on my Equifax report.
There are also many many old closed accounts on my Transunion report - accounts that were closed a decade ago are showing last reported dates in 2011.

How do I get these things corrected and how much of an affect are these errors having on my credit score?  I will be starting a new job soon and will need to get a new car - I don't want these errors affecting my ability to get a car loan.
