Hi there, I have student loans that are over 7 years old and some that I took out in the past 7 years. If I declare bankruptcy will my older loans be discharged? Thanks for your help. Posted from: Ontario

I was told by some one that not all the student loans are cleared in bankruptcy. Is this true? I guess the difference was federal and provincial. Thank you Posted from: Ontario
My wife incurred quite a large amount of student loans about 13 years ago, before we were married. Recently after attending school the loans went into default, and have been in collections ever since (approximately 12 years now). We are making the minimum payments on her loans, yet still receiving annoying and threatening phone calls [...]
