Yes, employment status has no impact on ones ability to file for bankruptcy.
To be eligible to file for bankruptcy you must:
1. Owe more than $1,000.00,
2. Reside in Canada, and
3. Be unable to pay your debts as they become due.
Employment status has no impact.
