How long for notice given to creditors?

Hello:
I was wondering how long it takes for your creditors to be notified that your status is an undischarged bankrupt? One of my creditors says they have not been notified by my Trustee, and they have the right to keep calling me. I AM ABOUT TO BREAK DOWN AS I CANNOT TAKE THIS HARASSMENT AND BEING SPOKEN TO LIKE THAT. Anyway, National Bank of Canada insists that I need to get Power of Attorney. The problem is that I have a muscle disease, not yet named, and speaking causes me great pain. Further, when one phone call 25 minutes, I can’t speak for the rest of the day very well. My voice becomes hoarser the more I talk. The pain is too much. I had sent National Bank a fax informing them of my status, and I told them that I have my fax receipt, but they say they didn’t get it. How long can I expect this to go on? Thank you.

What is likely is that your trustee has sent the notice and either the creditor has lost it, or has not reflected it propertly on their system. What you are best to do is next time the creditor calls, get their name and number (the person on the phone) and afterwards have your trustee call them directly. That should sort everything out.
